I'd like a consensus opinion on something brought up in last night's show. Suzanne was found wearing a watch and earrings, and with a "crumpled up" dollar bill in her pocket. It appears that the police think this is one reason her murder was not part of a robbery attempt. So, the question I have is, in and of itself (i.e. totally out of context), does this "new" information tip the scales: a) vastly in favor of no robbery attempt, b) slightly in favor of no robbery attempt, c) slightly in favor of a robbery attempt, d) vastly in favor of a robbery attempt, or e) inconclusive.

My first reaction was "b", but now I'm leaning toward "e". My reasoning is that her assailants were most likely male, and I doubt men would have any interest in earrings (unless they were obviously diamond) or a ladies watch (assuming it wasn't something "flashy"). As for the crumpled dollar bill, I'm wondering if Suzanne even knew she had it. We know she had a wallet, so presumably that's where she kept her cash. I don't carry a wallet nor a money clip, but I do stack and fold bills I put in my pants pocket... unless I'm in a real hurry-- then I just stuff one anywhere convenient, such as in my jacket pocket. I'm thinking Suzanne quite possibly could have stuffed a bill in her pocket and forgotten about it, especially under duress.

Lastly, looking at it from a different perspective, if we somehow knew for a fact someone had tried to rob her, what would we have expected differently concerning those three items? I tend to think the answer is nothing, meaning, again, the information about the three items found on her is not very significant.
