I've got an idea that I'd like to propose to the greater SI WAVX community--as I think most of us recognize, for whatever reason we've lost a little of our intensity here, probably due to the fact that RB is by far the most dominant WAVX thread. However, I think that we can add value to this thread by, in addition to our regular posts, re-posting stuff from RB (or even Motley Fool or Yahoo) that we find especially worthwhile.
There are literally hundreds of posts at RB, some brilliant, some crap, but I find it hard to find the time to pound through all, or even many, of them. Bookmarking my favorite posters helps some, but even that isn't a very satisfactory solution because you end up reading a lot of posts that are little more than conversations or fairly idle comments. What is useful, in my view, are analytical posts that discuss either the day's WAVX events or "dots" that "might have WAVX implications..." :-)
A good example of what I'm talking about is the post written by DooWop that I just reposted a few minutes ago. If every one of us brought back an especially good post from RB reasonably often--in addition to our own regular posts, of course--we would turn this thread into something that would really be wonderful, I believe.
Anyway, I'm going to try it, and I hope others join me. |
