Sorry for not responding sooner, but I was out from the office, and when I came back I had to jump right into my investment club meeting. It just ended a short while ago.

Yup, the action on the stock was truly amazing today.

I am sitting with baited breath waiting for the stock to come off halt. My theory about what drove this today was that it was caused by the SEC S-1 filing that AskJeeves put out listing Answers.com as one of it primary competitors. I know that a ton of Analysts follow AskJeeves, and I bet they took a good look at the market caps of the other comparison companies. When they tried to do it with Answers.com, they couldn't because it is still a private company. So, they must have gone to find who owns them. I would have loved to have seen their faces when they found out that are owned by a dinky little company from Canada whose stock trades at about $5 ($3.30 US). Now I really would have loved to see their reaction when they went directly to Answers.com's new website, and saw the reference to idealab's involvement, and then looked at who is on their management team. LOL - wait till they understand the full story and then find out that Jan Baan (who has already built a billion $ company) will be the new Chairman. They will learn that this company also has David Herman (formerly from Dun and Bradstreet) running their new Business Intelligence company (KPulse.com). Add to that the fact that in a little over 2 weeks they will also own ClickChoice.com, and that the company's established connections (through the Vanenburg group) will provide them a reach into 20 countries around the world. And all this for less than $5.00 CDN or $3.50 US per share . Yup - I wouldn't be surprised for a second that that is what caused today's action.

I now expect to see a few new visitors to our great little thread here. So in order to help them do their Due Diligence and get up to speed quickly on who this company is and what they are about, I am providing a link to the summary of the DD links I posted on the thread at the end of January. I plan to update this list (and my 28 page summary included therein) after the March 10th meeting.

I also believe that when more people really begin to understand just how many companies Net Shepherd plans to list on NASDAQ in the next 12-18 months (4 in total), then the folks from the States and Europe will be all over this stock. Who knows, maybe some sleepy Canadians will begin to wake up to its potential as well. A long time ago, (Aug 17th/99) I did a calculation on what I felt the share price appreciation could be for the company if they listed Answers.com on NASDAQ. I have to apologize because my figures might be a tad off <VBG>, for you see, I did the calculations on only one company going to NASDAQ. Now, after the March 21st meeting, I guess we will see four companies going there instead of just 1. Three of the companies will be going as IPO's and Net Shepherd will be going there as a new listing.

Here is the post with respect to the potential share price appreciation. Note: you have to now take into account some date changes and the fact that there will now be more shares issued for Net Shepherd (due to the Vanenburg deal). But also remember that there will also now be four companies going to NASDAQ instead of one. So, you may need to increase my the totals just a tad. <VVBG>

I will say that I have had an absolute blast watching the share trading action today. I guess I shouldn't have been as surprised as much as I was today. After all, I have only been expecting this type of movement on the stock for a year now! <VBG>

I also believe (no hype intended) that we are just getting warmed up. There will be more, much more where this came from in the weeks and months to come.

By the way, for all the posters with whom I have shared four seasons with while following this stock, I want to say you deserved every penny of the run up today. Just remember, that although the ride will be wild, I am convinced that the overall direction for this stock is up.

I'll talk to you all tomorrow!
