Radyne ComStream Announces $8.6 Million Contract From Major Wireless ISP
Wireless Internet infrastructure build-out continues
PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 3, 2000--Radyne ComStream (NASDAQ Small Cap: RADN - news) announced today that an initial contract worth in excess of $8.6 million dollars has been awarded by a major Internet-over-Satellite Internet service provider (ISP).
This single order for satellite Internet infrastructure equipment represents more than 15% of Radyne ComStream's 1999 revenue in one contract.
The equipment will be used to continue the wireless Internet service provider's national and international build-out of its satellite based, wireless Internet service provider network.
Radyne ComStream is already manufacturing the first 600 units of a total of 1,000 DT 8000 Digital Earth Stations as part of the original terms of the contract. A Network Management System, and additional elements within the order, including a suite of custom-engineered solutions for the client, could potentially increase the value of the contract to an even higher amount.
