Dear Bill: Well, 1999 then was the year the buy and holder won out over the trader. I sold very little (those I did sell, like yours went on up) but held a large proportion in my portfolio all year. I was up 125% for the year (thats gross w/o tax effect). Considering that I am what I would call a medium conservative investor I am happy with the results. I only post this to show that buy and hold can be the best way to go. JDN
