Here's an FDA site that allows you to search for adverse events in medical devices:

accessdata.fda.gov

Note that a search for "Adcon" or for "Gliatech" produces no events.

By way of contrast, note also that a search for "Seprafilm" (the Genzyme anti-adhesion product) produces 37 events. This isn't abnormal - medical devices typically have an ongoing adverse events rate associated or possibly associated with them, and Seprafilm has been on the market longer. (I'm long GZSP as well, by the way).

It's not unlikely that at some point down the road there will be some Adcon entries as well as Seprafilm entries - my main point is that this is to be expected, as is the fact that the shorts will doubtless portray it as a disaster.
