Fri 3 Mar 2000 News Release
Mr. H. Douglas Hume reports
Nuinsco Resources has received the drill results of the first five holes
from the Bucko Lake deposit located 100 kilometres south of Thompson, Man.,
near the town of Wabowden. Drilling of six more holes is in progress to
test the extent of a high-grade zone near a hole with 9 per cent nickel
over 14 metres and to obtain metallurgical samples.

*Note: Sections are on 30.5-metre (100-foot) centers.
The intersection of 5.59 per cent Ni over 5.88 metres in hole N-1 is 19.5
metres north of a former intersection of 9.03 per cent Ni over 14 metres at
the same elevation.
In 1970, underground drilling from a hangingwall drift on the 305-metre
elevation delineated a resource of 1.5 million tonnes of 2.2 per cent Ni
and 0.19 per cent Cu (diluted 20 per cent at 0 per cent Ni grade), between
depths of 183 metres and 488 metres. This included a diluted resource, over
a minimum mining width of three metres, of 550,000 tonnes with an average
grade of 2.62 per cent Ni and 0.22 per cent Cu between the 213-metre and
305-metre horizons. Byproduct Co and PMG credits at current metal prices
are projected at $35 per tonne.
Bids have been received from contractors for the dewatering of the shaft in
preparation for underground drilling and bulk sampling in 2000 subject to
permitting and financing.
