LOL. You are wrong, of course. Carter's own economic adviser said that recession was Carter's legacy. Volcker later publicly gave Reagan credit for supporting him and the Draconian policies needed to wring the record Carter inflation out of the economy. That's in Volcker's book, check it out.

The country paid a terrible price, as the Dems, the cause of all the problems, took the 1982 elections by running against both what they caused and the painful cure.
