No. I would rather him say he's comfortable with 30% and deliver 50%. The market rewards companies more for exceeding expectations rather than just meeting them. It's prudent to build into your forecast the possibility things may not go according to plan. If he had stated he expected 50% growth and delivered 40% the market would be disappointed. On the other hand, if he projects 30% and delivers 40% the market is overjoyed. The growth is the same but the market reaction is very different. To paraphrase Warren Buffett, I'd rather have WIND easily clear a one foot hurdle than struggle with a seven foot hurdle.
