The deal that Synergy struck with Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc. in late November is working so well, the company says, that it's negotiating a similar equity deal with a magazine for its other Internet unit. Given Drugstore.com's recent purchase of Beauty.com and high-profile contenders like Proctor & Gamble's Reflect.com, though, turning BeautyBuys.com into an industry leader is bound to be a battle.
