SG Cowen analyst Rick Billy said he expected even higher profits from Vishay Intertechnology Inc. (NYSE:VSH - news), which jumped 5-7/16 to 51-1/2, Integrated Device Technology (NasdaqNM:IDTI - news), up 2-7/16 at 40-11/16, and Altera.

Also hot, Next Level Communications Inc. (NasdaqNM:NXTV - news) spiked 17-1/4 to 142-1/2 after sources told Reuters that long-distance phone company Qwest Communications International (NYSE:Q - news) was in talks to buy a minority stake in the communications equipment maker.<<
