Only caveat is that Cree's LEDs are not in every cell phone - OTOH not every cell phone is CDMA either. We need market penetration numbers and forecasts.

If Cree can just start to take the high-end phones it will involve a huge market....probably in the order of 10's of millions of phones. Right now the only cell-phones that I have seen that have them are the 8800 series by Nokia....unfortunately the new designs released by Nokia (the 6210 and 6250) dont seem to incorporate blue-backlighting. However that would change if status-conscious consumers began to associate blue with a certain image or quality.

I'm not sure how easy it will be to able to get into the mass-market devices since they are so price sensitive. What is the cost difference between a blue LED and a green LED? I assume it is pretty significant
