seems like in addition to reading more and more about viruses, now i'm learning about friends and people i know whose pc's get a virus.

"did you hear about jack and joyce? their computer caught a virus!" <g3>

sure, it's kinda' humorous, but not to jack and joyce.

a pet peeve of mine is when we hear that, as a precaution, we should only open attachments that we receive from people we know. how naive to think that because you know someone, you'll not get a virus from something they sent you!

man, i get lots of email from lots of people i know, and there are always those few individuals who forward everything they can to everyone they know! you know the type. i delete those emails like crazy. funny thing is, some people don't even care that they never get a reply. they just keep cranking out the lists and attachments. and the hoaxes. man, i don't know which is worse, the hoaxes or a virus.

:)
