"I always have wondered if a foreign company domiciled in a country with different capital gains treatment would find Seagate appetizing for its hidden assets. Who this would be, I haven't a clue."

Robert- Try a German corporation. They are eliminating taxes on selling of corporate assets. It's supposed to take place in 2001. See Message 12875534 for comments. I was blown away when I read this, but maybe it plays into your idea of a new world economy. Hard to believe with their newly elected socialist government, the zero taxes idea will hold. You would think it would be something we could pass in the US before a European country beat us to it. -MikeM(From Florida)
