And how would you have responded to those people calling for Jerry Sanders' departure back during the tumultuous months of early 1999? Seems that Sanders is hailed as a hero now that he's riding the wave of Athlon and Flash. Who would have defended Sanders back then, except the die-hard AMD fans? Perhaps two years from now, Barrett will be hailed as a visionary for success in diversifying Intel, for success in IA-64, and for success in making the controversial Rambus a winner in the end.
