You'll notice that none of the national discount firms offer pre market trading. Why is that?? they offer after hours trading. Could it be they don't want to mess with NITE's gravy train at the open? Maybe the order flow equation doesn't work so well if you eliminate the near outright theft at the open. The game is almost up for NITE and the rest of these MM's. The ECN's will continue to create retail awareness of their benefits, and subsequent retail demand will force the national firms to offer pre market trading through ECN's.
