I think what is happening is that alsc, which has been trading mostly below its book value of holdings of UMC, BRCM, etc, is reaping the benefits of a strong market for RAM, and in particular, SDRAM.

Their 8Mx8 part has to be a flying off the shelves for the 64MB DIMMs used on the PCs. The 4Mx16 part is also a possible hot item in current graphics boards (many of which run with 32MB worth of 128bit memory).

Now, if only they do DDR, there should be lots of possibilities. Does anyone know if ALSC has plans to produce DDR?
