I assume you're talking about some legal or ETrade restrictions.
I don't know about that.

But I can tell you - I would never consider ETrade for "daytrading".
It is much too unreliable to count on for timely transactions of fast moving stocks.

You will lose your shirt - and they'll tell you it's your ISP or an "isolated problem affecting a small number of users."

I lost $2K last week when ETrade booted me just as I was placing a sell order.
By the time it let me back in, I was down $2K.

I don't even bother calling to complain anymore.
(a supervisor actually told me not to call anymore).
