why haggle over this hype stock Netscape? Unless you are very
well capitalized or you are transfixed, are there not better
value tech stocks with substantially more compelling technicals
and fundamentals than Netscape?
Dont get me wrong, the fundamentals for Netscape the company are
extremely attractive. At these levels though, the relationship
between the future stream of possible earnings from Netscape operations
and the current market's present value expectation of those earnings
as expressed in the stock price is incredibly skewed. The stock could
still go to $200, however the risk associated with this potential
return is very high.
This is exactly what happens with these high flyers, the retail public
ends up holding the bag after the dust settles, and the retail public
grinds through reason after reason why they should buy more on dips when the
smart money has left the game with very handsome profits, and is well
onto other better value opportunities. lets try and uncover some of
these as well here at Silicon Investor.
