SVCDQ's revenue comparison for 1998 and 1999, shows the revenue to be 320 stores at $3.6 billion, and 221 stores at $2.2 billion, respectively.

No change in any significant performance of catalog and web sales. As a matter of fact, reducing stores suffered in performance in same store comparison.

Catalog and web sites therefore had to be spun out, similar to AT&T and lately Lucent's decision. Their case histories are the same, to do more focus of core business. The parent company has to concentrate on store performance.
