[re: Teledesic ] Boogaloo (great handle, BTW!) I think what made this a big deal again was that Boeing was buying into the deal. Actually, I don't really understand how these folks actually feel that this plan will work and be able to deliver a cost-effective solution. As JW@KSC so wonderfully detailed earlier today, there's a lot that has to happen to launch a constellation of satellites, much less in the timeframe they announced. I find myself thinking two things: 1) What does Bill Gates know about this that I don't? 2) Will this deal have any influence over MSFT desire/ability to work on a twisted pair ADSL solution? We'll just have to wait and see, I guess. See Ya Steve
