I want take this opportunity to apologise to those I may have offended during my recent two months here. I do have a tendency to get carried away now and again, especially when addressing those that refuse or fail to understand what is being conveyed.I?m sure others have had similar emotions, but may have handled them better.I guess I have much to learn in this department.
This thread has brought the truth forward more than any other I know, despite those that loiter here and attempt to cover it up or cajole those who dare publish it.It is a reflection of the world some people live in. This may be compared to the stark reality of their intolerant and often racially motivated environment , along with desire to believe what they are being told by their superiors or leaders.
The thread has a major flaw though. The subject matter is too often seen and addressed through the eyes and conviction of a relatively centered group of interested parties, geographically or otherwise. This has too often lead to conflicts between addressing gold?s role in the world, and the politics that may influence them.
It appears all too often that to invest in Gold is to be unpatriotic or without confidence in the establishment. This is personified by a large degree from my neighbours to the South in the US of A.This is unfortunate, as it may lead one to believe that those who post here regarding a positive position may actually be considered Anti-American.From my personal perspective ,this could not be further from the truth. I consider gold no different than any other investment, other than having learned how politically connected it is,or has become.I wasn?t even aware that Americans had their Gold confiscated from them many years ago. This in itself could alter the perception of owning Gold that others,as myself, would not be aware of.
What most analysts fail to realise or address is the fact that Gold is universal, and it means many different things to different people around the world. If you were to tell the Chinese or the Indian communities of the attitude common from Americans towards this metal, they would not comprehend what was being conveyed. The Europeans also have different perspective on Gold that?s links clearly to their past.
So in closing and leaving again ,I hope when I return that those who have helped me have faired well in this sector.I see positive value moving forward, but with the insistence of the BOE to continue it?s arrangement that undoubtedly has been devised to harm Gold?s attractiveness as an investment, there seems little point to adding further to the discussion.I will be liquidating all my Gold positions in the very near future and concentrating solely on my Small Cap. Technology positions and my work in the Technical field. Gold has been by far the most interesting of investments, yet the least lucrative monetarily . At the very least I have learned enough from the many fine folks here to compensate for this deficiency .
I have no desire to fight the Bank Of England nor the Nimble Fingered Number Crunchers in America.
I bid you adieu from Canada ?.land of free markets. Till Gold can trade freely again. |
