I did not make an "assertion" that anyone claimed Bush to be a "saint." Do not assert that I did, please.
The position taken by you, I believe, was rather favorable to Bush's "honesty."
I gave the Pat Robertson meeting, at which the agenda and agreements made are being kept secret from the American people on excuses about confidentiality, as one example of what I felt to be less than honest. Of course if you feel the secrecy is just because Bush is "honorable," and that there was merely a "representation of his positions" made, you will not be discomfited by the implications of this secrecy. If you do not feel Pat Robertson to be a dangerous lunatic, you may also not be disturbed at Bush's earning, in some way unknown to us because he refuses to say, his support.
But you and I shall both now find the good in each candidate. Well, you shall find the good, and I shall try hard to find the least execrable qualities.
Incidentally, I live in New York, and under no circumstances would I vote for Hillary Clinton, and probably not for Giuliani either. I am really very tired of lesser evils when the evils are so great. Much as I shall strive to find the good in her, there are two things about her that make it an absolute no-go where she is concerned. One is that she used the word "murderers" to describe the officers in the Amadou Diallo tragedy. The other is that I am tired of her f**king face and that of her husband. So I won't be writing any books with her, thank you. |
