Sorry Joe. It's the wrong industry.
Microsoft dabbles in Keyboards, Mice and Networking Solutions, but no one mistakes it for a hardware company. APMC promotes itself as a software company, but no one should be mistaken by what drives revenues: hardware. Not just generic, industry-standard hardware (e.g., Personal Computers), but application-specific hardware: test and measurement equipment. The kind of stuff made by HP, Fluke, Schlumberger, Data I/O, Tektronix and others.
Don't take my word for it; look for yourself at embedded.com. Browse the AMD, Intel, x86 and Motorola Industry Directories, provided by Miller Freeman. Then tell me APMC and Microsoft are in the same industry. Bah! |
