I think it is way too early to bail on NOK and ERICY. Even though I think the web enabled phone is important...it is not the only thing. I believe growth in cellular will remain very, very strong fro several years (in multiple dimensions: number of users, airtime per user, data and voice). I believe there will be huge growth in wireless LANs, WANs, and networked appliances. I believe there will be huge growth in mobile commerce applications. I would place the state of the wireless world now as I would place the state of the internet when AOL and a 28.8 modem were the standard. There is still a long, long way to go.
