There are many men of pride who reject the teachings of the
early Christians. They lack both a knowledge of Christian history
and a knowledge of the mind of the Christian Church. For them, Scriptural
interpretation has become personal interpretation. Spiritual
pride and satanic inspiration are the dominant motives.
All holy Christians of former
centuries are cast as suspect and unworthy. Scritura sola is their
moto. Scripture alone-- with their "holy sevles", of course-- is all they
need. They are the only ones truly capable of discerning
the true meaning of the Scriptures. All of the
holy Christians of earlier and more informed centuries
are cast into the ash heap. The only valide knowledge and
interpretation must come from their private and personal interpretation.
A strong nationalism
is frequently a trait of these false teachers.
What this false teacher and false prophet is doing is denying
that God has had any authentic prophets and teachers since
the Apostles. God has suddenly raised them to recapture
the "pure truth". The Mormons and the Watchtower disciples are
excellent examples of this type of false teacher.
When you find these traits, you can be certain you are in the
presence of a false teacher or a false prophet.
This is clearly the work of satan. He attempts to cut us off from
our Christian heritage in order to replace this Christian heritage and
Christian history
with his own private interpretation of Scriptures and historical events.
Both Old Testament and New Testament Prophets were men and women
immersed in Biblical history. Those who desire to be teachers
and prophets today must be immersed in Biblical truths, Church history,
and be guided by the Spirit of Truth and a love for the Holy Church
of all centuries and all countries.
