Why did you post those definitions of conspiracy as though they showed that your calling me a "conspiracy theorist" were accurate? They showed the opposite.

You define yourself rather shockingly, Michael, by your sanguine attitude toward Pat Robertson and his followers -- they seem "a bit radical", you say?

I could understand expressing the hope that Bush has given little or nothing to the vile nutcase I've described and quoted here. I am startled more than you can imagine by your characterization of Robertson as seeming "a bit radical" to you. I had no idea.

Please do read the post I made to haqihana.

Reminders. Just a few, this time.

"We have enough votes to run this country...and
when the people say, 'We've had enough,' we're going to take
over!"

"The termites are in charge now, and
that is not the way it ought to be, and the time has arrived for a
godly fumigation."

"You say you're supposed to be nice to the
Episcopalians and the Presbyterians and the Methodists and this,
that and the other thing. Nonsense! I don't have to be nice to the
spirit of the Antichrist."

"I know this is painful for the ladies to hear, but if you get
married, you have accepted the headship of a man, your
husband. Christ is the head of the household and the husband is
the head of the wife, and that's the way it is, period."

"Many of those people involved with Adolph Hitler were
Satanists, many of them were homosexuals--the two things
seem to go together."

And last but not least, for a while:

Robertson did an interview with Zambia's dictatorial president, Frederick Chiluba. (Chiluba ordered the public school system to become Christian-only, despite the existence of a sizable minority of Muslims and Hindus in the country... The national TV and radio stations also turned to all Christian programming.) On the 700 Club in 1995, Robertson told Chiluba, "Your country is not only the standard for Africa but for the rest of the world." Afterward, he asked his audience "Wouldn't you love to have someone like that as President of the United States of America?"
