I happened to catch the Motley Fool radio program today, which was broadcast from Stanford. One of the guests was the head of the Sequoia venture capital firm. This is the firm that brought Cisco and Yahoo public. They asked him what he thought Sequoia's best public company was. An obvious answer might have been Cisco or Yahoo, but he said his favorite company was Flextronics. That struck me as a pretty powerful endorsement, along with Roger McNamee's in the New York Times a couple of weeks ago.
