SCUMbria - Re: "AMD has been cranking like a well oiled machine, without any of the names you mentioned. Coincidence? Probably not."

When AMD announced the AthWipey, they were ahead of Intel in MHz.

Since then, Atiq has resigned, Greg Favor has resigned, Jim Keller has resigned, the Dregs-Den plant manager has resigned, and Dana Krelle has resigned.

And - Intel has CAUGHT UP to AMD in MHZ - and with the crippled L2 cache on the 1 GHz AThWiper, Intel's 1 GHz Coppermine will INCREASE IT's PERFORMANCE LEAD over the limp-along-not-so-spry-anymore-AThy !

I'd say the loss of talent at AMD is now showing up in their loss of performance and execution.

In case you hadn't noticed, Dregs-Den is STILL not producing Copper AthWIpeys - despite AMD getting the Copper process from Motorola 18 months ago !!!
