For those still interested in brokers. I agree strongly with whomever (forget who it was)was talking about wallst access and it's great customer service.

I have an acct. with ETRADE, WALLST ACCESS, BEN & JERRY, NDB and here is my take (two are currently relatively inactive but used for certain strategies).

I have never had trouble accessing WS online and when I do call they generally answer within a few seconds. When they answer they are knowlegable(sp) re: any questions and their execution is great.

Spreads are my forte and now they have added their spread online feature which I love.
I have not tried esignal but am planning to look into it.

Now etrade on the other hand (for me) has absolutely the worse service of the four above that I mentioned.

I was out of the market for over the last three weeks sick and had closed out most of my trading positions. I had a bull call spread on and wanted to leg out thur. morn.

ETRADE was down so I could not access via online. Their telemaster (placing orders over phone) would not accept my pin # and I was placed on hold on the phone from 9:40 am
until 11 am. By this time I had lost $1.00 (per contract) and I demanded to speak with someone who could consider adjusting my losses. It is currently pending and i will let you know the outcome.

I like ETRADE for it's ability to download into my Quicken and I like their POWER ETRADE with features for The Pulse (real time streaming quotes) and level 2 and several other features they provide that I like.

But their service sucks.

Ben & Jerry are great for options and I like them but they don't have online service and for some reason I just like to see what I'm doing when I do it. I'm a control freak and this probably explains that. So I like to trade online.

But they are kinda like between a full service and discount.
They don't offer advice but will discuss various options strategies and offer provide their "expert" opinions which I have found to be helpful.

Just my thoughts on brokers for anyone interested.
