My take on all of this is that it really is a horse race and that the relative prices of the stocks of the two companies are very far away from any recognition of the reality of the real situation that is at hand. AMD appears to be siting on a set of trump cards and plays them at will.

Remember: "THE ENEMY OF MY ENEMY IS MY FRIEND." AMD has many friends.

Mickey Dee seems to be one of few friends that inteL has anymore. IBM, Gateway, Compaq, and etc. are getting ready to eat his lunch in the marketplace while all that he may have left will be a few stale hamburgers. He may just be destined to become the Ronald McDeee of the computer box industry.

Please do excuse my trite symbolism if it has become too excessive.

Regards,

DARBES
