How much is a dotcom of servicemarchandise worth? Outgoing CEO of GAP, Ms. Jackson took a job with Wal-mart to do their promise unfulfilled dotcom. She is leaving GAP in three weeks. While Ms. Jackson was successful with the GAP web site, the revenue was only between $80-100 million for last year. It is just another part of retail, while you must cover that share of your own market, it is just a small percentage of the overall business. However, as a spin off business $100 million is a good size business. And if you can structure it to make money on day one of the incorporation, the IPO will determine, by the underwriter based on the number of shares they have clients for, the value. Total value of the dotcome may be $100 million or the equivalent of the sales revenue anticipated. Later, the value may increase if the revenue increase substantially. With that GAP change of CEO, SMC might be effected in GAP renting their store space. How the new CEO might run GAP is an unknown factor. Stockholders' must try to summit new plans for SMC.
