MSFT was not first in DOS or WINDOWS or SPREADSHEETS? MSFT took DOS to MS-DOS, MAC windows to WINDOWS/WindowsForWorkgroups/WINDOWS95/WINDOWS98/WINDOWS2000. WORDPERFECT was before MS-WORD, QUOTRO-PRO before MS-EXCELL, QUICKEN before MS-MONEY, ENCARTA before BOOKSHELFT? etc.etc.etc. It is the marketing of MSFT that made them "win" not being first IMO.
