From the Yahoo msg. board: CNBC Squawk alludes to LonWorks by: nobonesaboutit 3/5/00 12:40 pm Msg: 27339 of 27339 On Squawk Box Weekend Edition, 7:00pm ET Sat. and Sun. Mark Haines interviews William Klein, Telecom analyst with Wasserstein - Parrella. Klein says that "voice" is growing at 5% per year, but "data" is growing exponentionally!! Haines asks Klein if all the ads about refrigerators, kitchen appliances, etc. talking to one another and calling for repair help is for real. Klein responds - YES!! He states that all the major appliance makers and others are planning on incorporating this technology into their next generation products. It's the wave of the future. Although ELON and LonWorks are not mentioned specifically, the technology is. Tune in tonight on CNBC at 7:00pm and see for yourself. Klein is on about 20 minutes into the program.
