BW , au contraire IMO, you pay a comission to a broker , that comission entitles you be informed of any information deemed necessary to make an invetsment relative to your account, thats why you have to fill in all those forms when you sign up, the broker then has a fiduciary duty to inform you of ways to attain the stated targets, if you can shelter gains using legit methods your broker has a legal duty to tell you about them.
