Why don't you want to use NTFS? Frankly I've never used anything but NTFS on NT or 2000 and can't really see why you would. There are many advantages: performance/speed, built in security, virtually unlimited partition size, ability to share data with Macs, less problems with fragmentation, to name just a few.

As far as I know, all performance critical servers and workstations settle on SCSI drives and NTFS. And as far as I know RAID 1, 2, and 5 are only available on NTFS partitions.

One disadvantage would be that in a dual boot environment, the NTFS volume is not accessible by Win95/98. This has never been a issue for me.

Is there some reason why you don't like NTFS that I am missing?
