Hmm I have a theory about this. I think that since the cash gets shuttled into a money market fund every night, the purchases made on the next day are on margin until the cash required to cover it is moved back out of the fund. I don't know how long these transfers take to settle, but perhaps the margin interest is being charged until they are.

Any other ideas?
