Yes Mr. Mark, I'm thinking about using a free online drive space. Freediskspace.com offers 300mb if you'll put up with a survey and some email offers. Otherwise they're only offering 25mb no strings attached.

It seems like a great place to backup important data files. Completely separate from your system and safe from whatever havoc might strike there. Just wondered if it would work for programs, considering how they are installed to a system with registry entries and who knows what else. I don't know if a simple copy of the program directories would work as a backup of for these types of files.
