Yo JR! Kay Passa, dood!

Hey, I was just wondering how the underwriters of PALM could open the stock at around 150 and then the stock just goes south from there.

I mean, first they price it at 16 then at 38, and then it opened at 150 and went straight down and about 2 hours later it was like a hundred bucks and then went down from there the next day.

Why is that? I don't get it. I don't understand why the underwriters would price something at 38 and then open it at 150 and it just goes straight down.

Not up. Not flat.

Straight friggin' down.

And then when it gets to 100 it has traded 25 million shares, which was the amount that was sold for the IPO.

I can't think of any possible reason that they would do that. These underwriters must be doing something that I can't understand. It just makes no sense to me. Why would they open it so high and then it goes straight down?

Wait. Let me figure this out.

Average of 150 and 100 is 125.

Lemmee see here, 25 million times 125 is...

some really big number.

...plus commissions!

Cool!

I wish I had shorted that puppy. But I couldn't get any shares to short. Too bad.

Can you think of some reason that they would do that? Because if you can, I would really like to know.

Just out of curiousity.

...and my cOUSIN says drop by any time, BBQ on him. He likes you. You like Cheetos and ginger ale?

Thanks.
