Sonny, what foreign affairs experience can Bush muster?....also,the state of Texas is not a microcosm of the United States...the politics of texas is whole diiferent breed of cat...I still think that a Republican cannot win a general election for president without independents and crossover democrats.....Gore would destroy Bush in debates,IMO...McCain would give Gore more difficulty.A governor of a state can become president(Clinton,Carter)but has to be intrinsically a smart person and George W. just doesn't sound like a highly intelligent candidate..I'd like to see his grade point average at the end of his college career.

Both he and his brother Jeb have won because of their name not on their merits.........reminds me of Ed and Robert Kennedy winning on the coattails of their brother John........Given the choice, I would rather vote for George Bush their father since he had more intelligence than his two querky sons.

Bush said education would remain a priority. ``I'm going to
continue to talk about it until the people of this state vote,'
he said. Maybe he should take some of his own advice and learn more about national issues.
