Brian, it will take a bit of checking to find out if the Peace Corps is active in India. Some countries do not allow the Peace Corps in for political reasons. Other countries refuse Peace Corps workers because they associate it with under development.
I'll try to research the matter out during this week and see what I can find out. What what I know the Peace Corps has different focuses in different countries.

I'll get back with you on this matter. Perhaps some other thread viewers know more.
