Slacker, Fatboy or anyone else....

I understand that white LEDs are based on blue LEDs. And, I understand from reading much of the excellent material here and on the Yahoo thread how blue LEDs are made.

But what about Green? Could someone explain what it takes to make a Green LED. It must be simpler than blue, since they are used in more common appliances. If one goal of CREE is to replace green leds with white leds, what kind of revenue and margin differences would this result in?
