Microvision Appoints Holly Ash as Director of Investor Relations
Former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company IR Director Brings Strong Investor Experience
BOTHELL, Wash., March 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Microvision, Inc. (Nasdaq: MVIS - news) today announced that Holly Ash has joined the company as Director of Investor Relations. Ms. Ash brings to the company an extensive background in financial analysis and investor communications. She joins Microvision from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, where she served as Director of Investor Relations, responsible for the overall investor relations' strategic planning and program implementation.
Ash started her career with Goodyear in 1983 as a computer applications analyst and then human resources consultant. She was promoted to spearhead the company's first formalized investor relations program in 1990 and named Director in 1995. Under her leadership, she managed an aggressive investor program focused heavily on enhancing shareholder value by providing investors and analysts with clear and accessible communications about the Goodyear investment opportunity.
``At Goodyear Holly created a winning investor relations program for a global corporation. Her natural enthusiasm for delivering exciting and effective investor communications coupled with her ability to build lasting relationships with investors make her the ideal person to represent Microvision to the financial community,' said Rick Rutkowski, Microvision president and CEO. ``As we continue to create value for our shareholders, the ability to respond to investors' need for information about our company's progress is important. Holly will take the lead in ensuring that the communication expectations of our shareholders are continually exceeded.'
``I'm thrilled to be joining Microvision at such an exciting time in the company's growth. I've enjoyed a rewarding 15-year career at Goodyear, but when presented with the opportunity to join Microvision I realized that 'ground-floor' opportunities like this one don't come around very often. I look forward to creating an investor communications program that fully conveys the tremendous market opportunities created by Microvision and the company's progress towards its growth objectives.'
Ash graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of business in computer science from Kent State University and earned her MBA in finance from the University of Akron.
