On other substantive threads, and, as several people know from one particular thread, in PM's, I've been accused on occasion of being a Lt. in the Thread Police Assn., and other titles, inappropriate to repeat. Yet, given the context of the "offending" post, the fact that it was on a weekend, and the clear intent of the author (ole 49r) - specifically, to keep this thread free of spam, I was not ready to tar and feather him for the post, finding it a mixture of getting the point across, and humor. While I personally do not use them, some of you must be sufficiently non-ethnocentric to know that there are colloquialisms in parts of this great country that include similar phraseology.
merry, your Managerial edict successfully restored immediate order. In review of the Saturday & Sunday posts, it appears to me that this thread continues to be one of the nicest and most informative substantive threads in SI. It is also clear that it functioned well as a microcosm of society.
NOW, on to the substantive issues that are the primary reason for which we are here.
