No it will just bring them up to current offerings. ZiVA is more than just MPEG-2 and AC-3. Also they'll need time to debug, so they won't have a significant impact until Q1 1998 IMHO. I'd worry about Toshiba's DVD chips and STM's long before Oaks. Looks like everyone will be there early 1998. We should know much more about all the palyers and design wins by end of this year. It takes about a year to go from working chip to having it in a full production model. Cube started showing the ZiVA chip last November I think. You had to in order to get desinged in for this Christmas.
