From the Trix are for Kids Dept.:

>>Asteroid and Extreme Mountain Biking Cereal

Activision, General Mills and NetActive have teamed up to offer free games in boxes of General Mills' Trix or Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. General Mills and NetActive Inc. worked together for the first time last fall with the NetActivated Toy Story 2 program.
The Asteroid and Extreme Mountain Biking games are shrink-wrapped to the front of 1.75-million boxes of cereal. When shoppers load the CD-ROM into a PC, they can play the full version of the games free for two hours each -- a total of four hours of free game-play.

If consumers can't get enough of the games, the NetActive software offers three ways to extend game playing time through the Internet. For the special promotional price of (US) $4.99, they can extend their play for extra two-day periods. If they decide they want unlimited play, consumers can buy both games for a total of $19.99. Undecided gamers can apply the $4.99 extended-play fee towards the purchase price. And, for those who don't have an Internet connection, the click of a button can sign up Juno Online Services as their ISP. <<
