INTC has a reputation for QUALITY and with the bugaboos we had last year I surely dont want anymore SNAFU's." I think the AMD Gig release was important for two reasons. One, it gives them credability in the marketplace. Two, in the Intel core business of PC chips, it signals that AMD has reached, at least, parity with Intel. I don't care how or why or when or where, I just sense that Intel hasn't managed to plan or or to use it resources effectivly. Two years ago, if you had told me that AMD would beat Intel to a 1 Gig processor, I would have LOL. So something has changed, it's either a giant step forward for AMD or a step backwards for Intel.
