So, you would ban abortion, but not charge people with a crime if they had one in the first trimester. You'd only fine the provider. And there would, of course, be many providers of first trimester abortions, once it became illegal. Just check some random back alley. In recognition of the greater controversy and obscurity, you'd make it a crime, but not a capital offense. Very generous of you, Neocon. Again, I'd love to see W running on that position, but the Clarence Thomas "states' rights" route is much more likely. Hey, "states' rights" worked for slavery for a long time, with no obvious head scratching about the contradictions of the Fugitive Slave Act on that count either. All you got to do is get the right Supreme Court appointed.
