Re: What to do?

I'm not a lawyer, so I can't evaluate the chances for success at litigation. Signing on to one of the class-action suits that are forming may be your best bet.

Otherwise, my best advice is: Be loud! Go to gomez.com and send them an e-mail describing your problems. Stress the service issues, and be sure to mention the option quote problems. Amazingly, Gomez has been giving Waterhose high ratings for high-frequency trading! Let Gomez know how wrong they are! Be nice to Gomez: one of their brokerage analysts cordially welcomed my input.

Contact your state Attorney General. You won't get "personalized" service, but AG's watch the volumes of complaints. Many AG's are considering suing selected on-line brokers. Do what you can to get your AG to pick Waterhouse!

Best of luck. I feel for you, Dennis. This game is hard enough without your broker as your enemy.
