I know I said keep quiet, but there are good researchers here who can verify this.

Now for the shouting:

MAJOR GORILLA WILL EMERGE!

I was told Instinet will open up to individuals soon. World-wide, 24-hour, no commission, no spread trading available to almost everyone! Where will all accounts go?

Also told that Bill Hambrecht's new investment bank is going to open up Dutch auctions for IPO's! Where will new companies go? To Hambrecht to get 100% of the venture capital or to The major brokers to get about 20% while the brokers and their favorite clients suck up the rest when trading starts?

Guess who owns Instinet AND a major stake in Hambrecht's Investment Bank? Reuters (RTRSY). I can't verify this information, but I trust this person enough to have already bought today. Start digging, because if true, no one can convince me that Reuters won't be a major GORILLA as the discount brokers go broke along with market makers like NITE, and the major brokers start to feel the pain of no free IPO money. I'd say Reuters is about 1/20th of where it will be.

I remain,

SOROS

ps a little side note: I'm sure you all saw where the Major 4 brokers are pushing to unite NASDAQ and NYSE? Hmmmmmmm.
